A beautifully presented, vintage mid-century reproduction print of Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec’s famous sketch “Au Lit” (In Bed / Madame Pauline and her dog, Bouboule). While the print itself is a high-quality vintage bookplate/exhibition piece, the print is housed in an exquisite, substantial gold-gilt gallery frame featuring an elegant Art Nouveau-inspired profile that makes it a true statement piece. The custom presentation is finished with a luxury brass title plaque bearing the artist’s name and dates (Toulouse Lautrec 1864–1901).  

This piece is a mid-20th century vintage bookplate reproduction, beautifully preserved with bold black linework. Rather than a modern digital inkjet copy, this is a vintage lithographic book printing plate that perfectly captures the character of the original stone-drawn artwork.

During the mid-to-late 20th century, European publishers (especially in France and the Netherlands) produced high-quality art volumes and portfolios with beautiful lithographic reproductions on heavy woven paper. This print was subsequently framed by a professional Dutch framemaker (De Roo & Saint Hill).
